Bold Text Bold text carries more weight than regular text.
A great magazine article will have a great title to grab your attention, and then it will use Bold Text to highlight keywords. Many aspects of Google SEO 101 are simply a common sense approach to writing and appealing to the human reader. When you open up a magazine article there are several parts of the layout that will grab you attention. The Title of Course, and I have already covered that the title tag was the most important aspect of Google SEO 101. Use this same approach to grab the Google spider’s attention when doing your web page highlights for the keyword phrase that you are targeting as well as grab the reader’s attention. If the keyword phrase for your article is Google SEO 101 then everywhere that the word Google SEO 101 is mentioned it should be highlighted in bold text. Just that simple. Create a pattern of bold text to keep the human and the spider’s attention. Using bold text will also make it easy to see if the keyword phrase is dense enough in you article. Keyword phrases that are too dense will come off as spam or keyword stuffing. If the keyword phrase is not repeated in the article the Google Search spider will not have a clear understanding of what the article is about and will not rank that webpage high in search engine rank placement (SERP). The use of bold text can also add value to your keyword hyperlinked text or anchor text. If you are using a forum signature with an embedded hyper link, add bold to give your signature for more boost as well. Use bold for internal linkage as well to cross index your web pages. In conclusion, the use of bold text will set your article apart in searches and increase your chances of a first place ranking as well as give hypertext link keyword phrase and signatures a boost. I like to call it a “Boost of Bold”, Bold text yells at the Google spider “look at me”, “ I am important”.
